Candidate Statement
As a Garden Grove Neighborhood Commissioner, I have helped to improve and protect our neighborhood for our children. My mission is improve the quality of our Public Education.
With more than seventeen-years experience as a software engineer, B.S.Comp.E., M.S.E.E, I understand the importance of higher education. I am determined to fix our school’s drop-out problem. I will promote programs to help under-performing students. I will promote Reward Programs for teachers and students, motivate, and inspire them. I will work hard to make computers accessible to all students.
I am concerned about obesity in children. I will promote replacing vending machines and school meals with nutritious options/choices.
Protecting students is the number one priority. Violence should not happen in schools. I will promote programs to improve communications between family, school, and community.
My two children are currently attending GGUSD. One of them is autistic. I will promote programs to educate parents, teachers, and students about this widespread. I will work with them to make sure appropriate programs are available and accessible to children with special needs. “It takes a village to raise a child.”
